No-Vig Calculator: Fair Odds From Two-Way Prices
By DeepChamp research team · Updated · Methods and limitations
Short answer
A no-vig calculator strips the operator margin out of a market by scaling every implied probability so they add up to 100 percent. Enter the prices for each outcome to see the fair probabilities and the fair odds.

- 1Enter American odds for each side of the market, adding the third outcome for a three-way result.
- 2Read the no-vig probability and fair odds for each outcome.
- 3Compare the fair odds with the price you are actually offered and with your own estimate.
- 4Use the margin line to compare how expensive different markets are.
How the math works
Because the implied probabilities of a market add up to more than 100 percent, none of them is a clean forecast. Scaling each one by the total removes the margin proportionally and produces fair probabilities that add to exactly 100 percent.
This proportional method is the most common convention but it is a simplification. Some operators load margin unevenly, for example more on longshots than favorites, so treat the fair price as an estimate of the market view rather than a precise truth.
- Implied probability
- p_i = 1 / decimal_i
- No-vig probability
- fair_i = p_i / (p_1 + ... + p_n)
- Margin
- margin = (sum of p - 1) / sum of p
Common questions
What does no-vig mean in betting?
It means a price with the operator margin removed. The no-vig or fair price is what the market would be if the probabilities summed to exactly 100 percent, and it is used as a cleaner reference point for comparing prices.
How do you remove the vig from odds?
Convert each side to its implied probability, add them, and divide each probability by the total. The results add to 100 percent and can be converted back into fair odds.
Are no-vig odds the odds I can bet at?
No. They are a reference. The prices you can actually take include the margin, so a bet at the posted price needs a better true probability than the fair figure to be worthwhile.
